PUT JULY 14 ON YOUR BICYCLING CALENDAR!  Yes, you get an extra week to prepare according to LOUIS-REED-RACE formula for figuring the dates over last years date. The formula being the second Sunday in July.  (We use the same date as RIPONFEST.)  But our LRRace falls on July 14 this year.  That is a month off as I write this note.  Can anybody find a more dedicated race to PERSONAL ROAD RACING SKILLS than the Louis Reed 10 mile time trial, --carefully times--year after year with crossing flag guards on the few corners?  Our course leaves from the very spot of the WISCONSIN STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS of the League of American Wheelmen when bicycling was king in the 1890s before the automobile --when Louis Reed was our hometown champion.  But with this race---RIPON welcomes modern bike riders and racers alike to our RACE FOR EVERYBODY--which charges no money and is open to all ages, abilities, and equipment.

So-----------put July 14 on your calendar and come to Ripon's Barlow Park at 8:00 and we start when everybody is ready.
